Covid Safety Policies

Now that we are in an endemic phase we have made safety our number one priority. All guidelines below must be adhered to when participating in our in-person solo, duet, or small group sessions.

  • As we enter flu season and spend more time indoors, PRNY suggests wearing a mask fully covering their nose and mouth in the common areas. Please feel free to remove your mask during your Pilates session.

  • Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer as a means to reduce all germ transmission.

  • Please maintain social distancing throughout your class and as much as possible in the common areas.

  • If you feel unwell in any way, please do not attend an in-person class

  • If you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 within the past week, please do not attend an in-person class

All equipment is sanitized at the end of each session.

Class Policies

Minimum Class Requirements
Two people are required for a class to be held. If you are the only one scheduled to meet the 2-person minimum, you can deduct a second class from your series, purchasing a specially priced "half-off" to Meet the 2-Person Minimum Class" or you may choose not to take the class without penalty. However, you must show up for your class (we get last minute walk-ins) for this policy to take effect. Remember, a solo class is a great opportunity to get personal attention and focus!

Cancellation and Rescheduling
Please read your email confirmation and reservation reminders. All advanced registration changes must occur 12 hours before the class start time.

Class Levels
We highly recommend attending the New Client Orientation Class if you have no Reformer experience. Experienced clients begin with Level 1 classes regardless of previous experience. Differences exist between private and group classes as well as from studio to studio. In a group setting, all clients must be equally familiar with the class choreography and equivalent in physical ability. Moving to the next level requires two teacher recommendations.

Ann Toran, the studio director, makes exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

Wait-list Option
We have a Wait-listing feature when a class is full. If you choose to place yourself on the Wait-list, you will be notified by email when you are added to the class. Once you put yourself on the Wait-list, you are obligated to the class if you get in. If at any time your plans change, you must remove yourself from the Wait-list 12+ hours prior to class start time so as not to be added to the class and thus charged.

Return Policy
There are no refunds given for any reason. Packages may be transferred for a $25 administrative fee. The original expiration date will remain in effect.

Class and Package Expiration
All packages have expiration dates. Extensions may be purchased at $20 per 10 days and are added to the existing expiration date.

Medical Policy
We do not freeze packages. With the submission of a Doctor's letter, we will return the purchase to a studio account credit and deduct from that all the classes taken at a prorated value. The balance will remain as a studio credit until such time as the client has permission to participate in physical activity again.

Classes are subject to teacher substitution in case of illness or emergency.

All NYC Services are subject to a 4.5% NYC Tax.
